Visiting this website

When you open a page or your calendar app fetches the feed, our web server records your IP address, the date and time, the requested address, the referring page, your browser's user agent and the response status. We need this to run the service and to detect and defend against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Events near you

To show events around you, our server looks up your approximate location (city level) from your IP address in a local copy of the DB-IP database (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your IP address is not sent to anyone for this and the result is not stored. You can switch this off at any time with “Everywhere in Europe”. If you click “Use my precise location”, your browser asks for permission first; the rounded coordinates are only put into the page address and are not stored on our side.

Suggesting an event

If you use “Event missing?”, we store the link and the optional name, note and e-mail address you enter, to check the suggestion (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for your e-mail address: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not store your IP address with it. To limit abuse, a one-way hash of your IP address is kept on our server for at most one hour. Your e-mail address is only used to ask about your suggestion and is deleted once we have dealt with it. We get a short notice about new suggestions via Telegram; it contains the link and name only, never your e-mail address.

No cookies, no tracking

The public pages and the calendar feed set no cookies and use no analytics, tracking or advertising. No fonts, scripts or other content are loaded from third parties. The website runs on our own server in Austria.

Event information

Listings contain facts about events (title, date, venue, link) taken from the organisers' public websites. We do not collect personal data about attendees. Organisers can ask us to correct or remove listings at any time – see For organisers.
